Since its foundation in 2017, the Glière Quartet has established itself as an exceptional voice on the chamber music scene. Four distinguished musicians from Europe unite in this ensemble to form a powerful body of sound with international appeal.
The members – Wladislaw Winokurow (violin), Dominika Falger (violin), Martin Edelmann (viola) and Endre F. Stankowsky (violoncello) – bring their individual artistic experience and fine sense of ensemble playing from leading European orchestras (including the Vienna Symphony Orchestra and the Budapest Opera) to their joint quartet work.
The quartet’s programme focuses on Eastern and Western European composers from the classical period to the present day. With subtlety and interpretative depth, the ensemble dedicates itself to both well-known masterpieces and rarely performed compositions – especially those by Reinhold Glière, to whose artistic legacy it feels committed.
International concert appearances and festival participations have already taken the quartet to renowned concert halls in Europe. Since 2020, the quartet has been working closely with the Polish label DUX, under which several CD recordings have been released. The latest release – with works by Maurice Ravel and Felix Bartholdy-Mendelssohn – will be released in autumn 2025.

The Glière Quartet stands for stylistic diversity, chamber music excellence and a deep emotional connection to music – located in Vienna, in the heart of Europe.
